Artistree Puppy Information

ENQUIRIES & VISITATION: Please contact Linda Compton via email at lkcompton@gmail.com or call (406) 443-4506 about questions regarding puppies or adult dogs we may have available or to set up a time when you can come to visit and see the Cavaliers here. It is also possible to meet me and see Cavaliers I am currently showing at dog shows in your area, just email me for my future show plans.
VACCINATIONS: All puppies are vaccinated and health checked by a Veterinarian before leaving and all paperwork included in the puppy packet. A visit to the new owner’s Veterinarian should be scheduled within 7 days of receiving the puppy. Also, all potential Dams are tested annually for Mitral Valve Disease (MVD) and receive an eye exam, as well. DNA testing for Dry Eye, Curly Coat and Episodic Falling is done for every Cavalier in my breeding program.
GUARANTEE: Each puppy is guaranteed against death by inherited disease for two years.
REHOMING: All puppies are sold with the understanding that they will be returned to me, no questions asked, if for any reason the owner can no longer care for them. My responsibility for this life does not end at the date of sale but begins again any time that Cavalier needs a new home.
REGISTRATION: All of our puppies sold as pets are given a LIMITED registration with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of the USA (CKCSC) which means they may not be used for breeding or shown in conformation events. I am usually contracted with the stud dog provider to guarantee that no puppy sold as a pet is kept intact. This is to protect our lines and make sure that we are not providing more unwanted dogs in shelters. This is the hallmark of a responsible breeder, no matter what breed they are working with. .
All registration fees are included in the sale price and papers will be sent to the new owner directly from the registrar.
DOG ACTIVITIES: All puppies sold as pets are encouraged to participate in puppy class and later to learn agility, obedience, rally or any events or activities set up for pet participation. Many Cavaliers are particularly suited for Therapy roles.
CONTRACT: A written agreement must be signed by the new owner and myself on the day of purchase.
DELIVERY: I recommend that a puppy be personally picked up here so you can meet us and see the puppy's family. I will be happy to work with you on airline and accommodations, should that be your preference. A crate or traveling container can be provided though all delivery costs are the responsibility of the new owner.
